Each year, we visit farms across the festival region to share farmer stories on the Farm Aid stage.
Below are the voices of those farmers we visited this year, across the Northeast. We focused our camera on a diverse set of farmers across the states of Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont and Maine. Some of them are new farmers, some of them are established farmers—gaining their expertise here in the United States or in the country from which they emigrated to come here.
All of these farmers share a love of growing and raising food for their communities, a duty to steward the land, water and climate, and a desire to share their knowledge with a new generation of farmers. We asked them about their challenges and opportunities; why diversity is so critical in agriculture; how we can advance racial justice in farming; and how agriculture can help us all as we address climate change.
Watch the videos in the playlist below to get to know these farmers.
